Are cracks beginning to form in Yum Jung Ah and Dex’s relationship on “The Defects”?
Based on a popular webtoon, “The Defects” is an action thriller about children who have been abandoned by their adoptive parents—and their fight for survival and revenge.

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, a tense confrontation unfolds between the ruthlessly manipulative Kim Se Hee (Yum Jung Ah) and her human weapon Jung Hyun (Dex), who has always obeyed her orders without question.
In contrast to their usual dynamic, in which Se Hee wields absolute authority, there is an unusual tension between the two characters. As a furious Se Hee angrily lashes out at Jung Hyun, he responds with a blank expression and hollow gaze that is markedly different from his usual demeanor.
Meanwhile, Se Hee plans an even crueler project as her next step towards reaching the pinnacle of power. A different still cut shows Se Hee meeting secretly with the first lady, and their sharp gazes hint at a large-scale conspiracy that goes beyond an ordinary collaboration.
“Up until the very end, the gripping plot won’t allow viewers to let their guard down for a single moment,” teased the drama’s production team. “The unexpected plot twists and fierce conflicts between the characters will drive the story to its climax, so please stay tuned until the end.”
The next episode of “The Defects” will air on August 11 at 10 p.m. KST.
