SBS’s upcoming comedy sports drama “The Winning Try” has unveiled new stills ahead of its premiere!
“The Winning Try” tells the story of Joo Ga Ram (Yoon Kye Sang), a former rugby star who falls from grace due to a doping scandal. After he returns to his alma mater as the new coach of its bottom-ranked high school rugby team, he leads the underdog squad on a quest to win the National Sports Festival.
Kim Yo Han plays Yoon Sung Joon, the ace and captain of the Hanyang Physical Education High School rugby team. Known for his athletic talent and good looks, he is a central figure who holds the team together. However, as he struggles with poor performance and cold treatment from those around him, he gradually begins to lose motivation. His turning point comes when he meets eccentric new coach Joo Ga Ram.
Yoon Kye Sang returns to an SBS drama for the first time in 18 years, playing the quirky rugby coach Joo Ga Ram in a performance that blends comedy and charisma. Attention is building around the on-screen chemistry he is set to create with Kim Yo Han as the two develop a fresh bromance and grow together as a team.
“The Winning Try” premieres on July 25 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
