“New Lisa?” YG Introduces 2nd Member Of New Girl Group, Sparking Decisively Mixed Reactions

Their debut date has not been set yet.

On May 25, YG Entertainment announced its upcoming plans for the year, including introducing the company’s new girl group. It was also revealed that the group would have four members who had already been selected.

A countdown began for the introduction of the members, with member Evelli being the first introduced.

On June 15, the next member of the group was unveil as Chanya, a 14-year-old from Thailand.

Like the previous announcement, many shared positive responses and excitement over learning more about the girl group. Many were excited over the new edition to YG’s “Thai line” as well.

However, there have been some negative reactions as well, with many pointed at Chanya’s young age.

Additionally, some have called out YG for seemingly trying to “create a new BLACKPINK.” In addition to having a Thai member, Evelli is from Australia, like Rosé.
