The returned children will face their greatest crisis yet in “The Defects”!
Based on a popular webtoon, “The Defects” is an action thriller about children abandoned by their adoptive parents and their desperate fight for survival and revenge. Yum Jung Ah stars as Kim Se Hee, a celebrated doctor who is highly respected in her field but secretly runs an illegal adoption trafficking ring. Won Jin Ah plays Kim Ah Hyun, a young woman who was returned after being adopted through this broken system but miraculously survived.

Previously, Kim Ah Hyun narrowly escaped becoming another victim of the illegal adoption ring thanks to Woo Tae Sik (Choi Young Joon). However, her safety was threatened once again when Choi Si Woo (Kang Ji Yong), a newly returned child, appeared while she was hiding with the other surviving children. To make matters worse, their only protector Tae Sik was involved in an unexpected accident, leaving the children with no one to rely on.
The newly released stills show Kim Ah Hyun, So Mi (Lee Naeun), and the other children fighting desperately for their lives as Kim Jung Hyun (Dex), who has been trained as a human weapon by Kim Se Hee, carries out his mission to kill them. The intense one-on-one confrontation between Ah Hyun, who steps up to protect the children in Tae Sik’s place, and Jung Hyun raises tension to the peak. Their fierce struggle leaves viewers wondering what fate awaits the children—and whether they will manage to survive this life-or-death crisis.
The next episode of “The Defects” airs on July 22 at 10 p.m. KST.
