tvN’s upcoming drama “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” has unveiled a new teaser!
Based on a popular web novel, “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” is a fantasy romance drama starring Lim Yoona as Yeon Ji Young, an award-winning French chef who winds up traveling 500 years back into the past. There, she meets despotic king Lee Heon (Lee Chae Min), who is known as the worst of tyrants—and who also happens to be a discerning gourmet.
The teaser begins with an unpredictable accident befalling chef Yeon Ji Young, who has just won a French cooking competition. Not only does she suddenly land in an unfamiliar place, but she also ends up being chased by the king with a bow aimed at her. Before she knows it, she’s tied up like a criminal.
Treated like a ghost by King Lee Heon, Ji Young reveals that she is a chef. Determined to adapt, she declares, “Since I don’t even know how to get back, I might as well go all in,” before confidently showcasing her cooking skills. From steak to pasta—dishes he’s never seen before—her creations leave him bewildered at first, but the irresistible flavors soon captivate him, breaking through his royal composure as he devours every bite.
As Lee Heon becomes increasingly enamored by her dishes, Ji Young’s confidence soars. However, not everyone in the palace is pleased. His concubine, Kang Mok Joo (Kang Han Na), casts a sharp, disapproving glare in Ji Young’s direction and pointedly remarks, “It’s clear the King has taken an interest in that girl,” hinting at her jealousy.
The mood turns tense as Kang Mok Joo, wearing a cold, ominous smile, warns, “I won’t let this slide today.” Moments later, Ji Young is bound in a wooden punishment frame—leaving viewers wondering what exactly has happened to her.
Fed up with the treacherous palace life, Ji Young eventually cries out in desperation, “I want to go back!” Can she withstand the pressure from the tyrannical king and the jealous concubine, and find a way home?
