tvN’s upcoming drama “Law and The City” has released a new teaser!
“Law and The City” follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.
The teaser begins with Ahn Ju Hyeong staring blankly during his crowded subway commute. It then follows fellow attorneys Kang Hui Ji, Cho Chang Won, Bae Mun Jeong, and Ha Sang Gi as they go about their routines in Seocho. Their weary expressions, shaped by difficult cases and long nights spent buried in stacks of paperwork, reflect the demanding reality of life at a law firm.
Though they are simply doing their jobs as salaried employees, clients respond very differently depending on whether a case is won or lost. Even after sacrificing their evenings to focus on work, the attorneys appear deflated by a single harsh remark — a moment that resonates with many working professionals.
Their bittersweet daily lives, filled with exhaustion from work, constant interaction with others, and never enough time, evoke a sense of kinship. Their individual ways of managing stress also come into focus. Whether running on a track, sharing a good meal, or having a conversation, the attorneys are shown smiling, offering moments of warmth and comfort.
Amid their intense schedules, the heartfelt connection among these meal companions, who are able to let go of their burdens when they are together despite the demands of daily life, is drawing strong anticipation. As they unwind through exercise, food, and conversation, they slowly begin to discover their own answers to the question, “Why did you want to become a lawyer?” They are now stepping into a new chapter of what had once felt like a repetitive and unfulfilling work life.
