MBC’s upcoming drama “Mary Kills People” has released a new teaser!
A remake of the Canadian series of the same name, “Mary Kills People” stars Lee Bo Young as Woo So Jung, a doctor who illegally provides euthanasia to patients with incurable illnesses. Lee Min Ki will play Jo Hyun Woo, a terminally ill patient with a brain tumor.
The new teaser begins with the voices of patients desperately pleading, “Please give me that treatment too” and “I’d be grateful if you could kill me.” Amidst flashes of patients collapsing to the ground and writhing in pain, Woo So Jung asks, “Can we really call it treatment if we’re just prolonging the suffering of patients who can’t be treated?” She then goes on to declare, “I don’t want to be someone who turns a blind eye to the suffering of patients anymore.”
Later, after Woo So Jung is seen approaching someone with a pillow, a woman asks her, “Did they go peacefully?”
However, despite Woo So Jung’s intentions, someone challenges her perspective by countering, “No matter what kind of good reason you give, this is just murder.” Meanwhile, in a suspenseful moment, Jo Hyun Woo chases Woo So Jung’s car and knocks frantically on her window.
Finally, a caption asks the difficult question, “Is this mercy or elaborate murder?”
