JTBC’s upcoming weekend drama “Beyond the Bar” has unveiled a new teaser!
“Beyond the Bar” is an office drama that follows Kang Hyo Min (Jung Chaeyeon), an upstanding and confident yet socially awkward rookie attorney at the law firm Yullim. Under the mentorship of Yoon Seok Hoon (Lee Jin Uk), a cold but exceptionally skilled partner at the firm, Hyo Min gradually grows into a true lawyer as she navigates the challenges of the legal world.
The drama has released a second teaser video, offering a glimpse into the dynamic, real-life banter between Yullim Law Firm attorneys Yoon Seok Hoon and Kang Hyo Min.
The teaser opens with Kang Hyo Min arriving late to a job interview and hurriedly covering a stain on her clothes with correction fluid, providing plenty of laughs. Despite her clumsy demeanor, Kang Hyo Min is a former champion of a national law school mock trial competition. Her scatterbrained appearance stands in stark contrast to her unexpected talents, sparking viewers’ curiosity.
Yoon Seok Hoon also leaves a strong impression. His meticulous demeanor allows no room for small talk or side comments. He offers blunt feedback without hesitation, saying things like, “Is this really the best you can do with such great ingredients?” and “There are three typos.” His uncompromising work style, applied even to brand-new employees, quickly reveals just how much of a perfectionist he is.
The two sharply contrasting personalities clash from the start. Yoon Seok Hoon’s startled and puzzled reactions to Kang Hyo Min’s unpredictable questions and spontaneous reports highlight the deep differences in their work styles and values. However, as Kang Hyo Min steadily grows into her role as an attorney, Yoon Seok Hoon eventually offers rare praise with a simple, “Good job,” offering a glimpse into their evolving dynamic and the beginning of a true partnership, building anticipation for what lies ahead.
