Disney+’s upcoming drama “Tempest” has unveiled a new poster and trailer!
“Tempest” follows Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a renowned UN ambassador who sets out to uncover the truth behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, and San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of unknown nationality who must protect her, as they confront a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula.
The newly released main poster introduces the characters trapped in a crisis threatening the Korean Peninsula and chasing the truth behind the shocking attack. Against the backdrop of a massive city explosion, the characters’ expressions as they all gaze in different directions create a sense of suspense and build anticipation for an unpredictable story. Hinting at the conflicts that will unfold within fragile relationships defined by mistrust, the tagline asks, “Who will you trust, what will you protect?”
The new trailer highlights the drama’s sweeping scale and the characters’ pursuit of hidden truths amid looming threats. Moon Ju, who decides to run for president to expose the truth behind the assassination attempt that shocked South Korea, soon becomes caught up in dangerous events that threaten her life.
After first encountering Moon Ju at the scene of a crime, San Ho, who had been watching her from a distance, decides he must protect her and makes a direct offer, saying, “Hire me.” Moon Ju, however, keeps her guard up, responding, “Can you follow orders without question?” The tension deepens when Yoo Woon Hak (Yoo Jae Myung), director of the National Intelligence Service, delivers a sharp warning: “Be careful of this man.”
At the same time, a looming threat that could escalate into World War III edges closer to the Korean Peninsula. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Anderson Miller (John Cho) struggles to shift the course of the storm, while South Korean President Chae Kyung Shin (Kim Hae Sook) does her best from the nation’s highest office.
Also in play are Im Ok Sun (Lee Mi Sook), the powerful chairwoman of Ahseom Shipping, who holds sway over South Korea’s political and business circles, and prosecutor Jang Joon Sang (Oh Jung Se), who pursues Moon Ju with his own presidential ambitions.
As questions grow over who is truly pulling the strings behind this threat to global security and what the approaching storm represents, Moon Ju shows her resolve by declaring, “If there is a script driving all of this, I will uncover it.”
