SBS’s new survival show “B:MY BOYZ” has kicked off its second official round of competition!
“B:MY BOYZ” is a new boy group survival show in which top idols participate directly in choosing which contestants (known as “B:GINNERS”) make the final debut lineup.
Round 2, which began this week, is “13 vs. 13 team death match” featuring MONSTA X as the round’s top idol. The round consists of three separate battles: in the first battle, after being split up into two teams of 13 contestants each, nine members from each team went head-to-head with covers of different MONSTA X songs. The first team performed MONSTA X’s “Love Killa,” while the other covered “Shoot Out.”
In the second battle, a “vocal match,” the remaining four members from each team will showcase their vocals through a cover of a different artist. One team put their own spin on BTS’s “Spring Day” this week, while another will take on DAY6’s “You Were Beautiful” next week. In the final battle, a “mega performance match,” both teams will cover MONSTA X’s debut track “Trespass.”

In the first battle of Round 2, MY MONSTAZ members Kim Jeonghoon, Ban Daniel, Yang Chengxi, Lee Yeontae, Lee Yunsung, Ikuto, William, Choi Yohan, and Hyo covered “Love Killa.”
Meanwhile, MONSTA B members Kim Bohyeon, Moon Jaeil, Suthaschai, Ai, Yang Hyeongbin, Kai, Haruto, Hwang Heewoo, and Hiroto performed “Shoot Out.”
Finally, MY MONSTAZ members Seo Junhyeok, Park Sechan, Lee Junmyeong, and Lim Jihwan kicked off the vocal battle with a rearrangement of “Spring Day.”
The remaining performances from Round 2 will air on next week’s episode of “B:MY BOYZ” on July 19 at 5:20 p.m. KST.
