It’s the end of an era.
A longtime girl group will be disbanding in July, just months after releasing their final album.

Tsubomi Daikakumei is a Japanese idol girl group based in Osaka, Japan. They debuted fifteen years ago, in April 2010. The lineup currently consists of seven members, four of whom have been a part of the group since its first year. Along with their music, the group is known for their humor–their catchphrase is “Super funny idols from Yoshimoto”–which they demonstrate during on-stage comedy sketches.

Tsubomi Daikakumei’s final show will take place on July 5 at the MUSIC EXCHANGE venue in Shibuya, Japan. The group announced their intention to disband in January, along with their last album, DENSETSU ~Hold Your Head High! May Happiness Be With You!~. The 7-track album is a celebration of the group’s 15 years together.
Tsubomi Daikakumei has also been saying farewell to fans by putting on a final tour, Tsubomi Daikakumei 15th Anniversary Thank You Tour!.
