“Tour From Hell” — Popular Idol Exposes Difficulties As Promoter Avoids Refunding Thousands

When an idol goes on tour in another country, usually, a secondary agency handles things on the domestic side. Unfortunately, there has been more than one occasion when a local promoter has disappointed fans, and the idol has suffered.

Recently, a tour promoter’s activities have sparked outrage among netizens.

Fans were thrilled over the announcement and waited for the tour to begin. However, just days before, it was announced that two concerts, the LA and Atlanta dates, had to be postponed due to visa issues.

The dates were soon announced to be rescheduled to different dates, creating the first larger signs of potential issues with the tour.

The new dates gave the idol at most one day between events, with the Houston date the day after the newly scheduled LA date, while the new Atlanta, Washington D.C, and Chicago dates happened one after another. Fans pointed out their concerns with this, worrying not only for the idol but the possibility of delays.

These concerns turned out to be valid, with the company announcing a delay in starting time for the Houston event.  Fans also reported heavy disorganization and had fans waiting extra hours in 90+ degree weather.

Jay B also hinted more than once at his physical state, saying that the schedule was too packed and that he “wanted to go home.”

The next date, the rescheduled Atlanta date, ended up being cancelled. Shortly after the opening artist took the stage, the building was struck by lightning and caused technical issues that could not be fixed in time.

Fans shared they were promised refunds for the show portion, and that they were all given the hi-wave benefit.

However, the notice only came after fans placed pressure on the company, with many also finding issue with a specific tier’s refund.

KONNECT’D’s previous tour, one scheduled to take place with KARD in early 2025, was cancelled just before due to visa issues and fans have reported that they are waiting for refunds still, several months later.

This has also increased skepticism that refunds will be given in a timely manner for Jay B’s cancelled date, and frustrated fans.

It seems that while fans understand that accidents can happen, the issues from this event and more were too much to take.
