They’re “switching off.”
This summer, a five-member girl group is going their separate ways and moving on to new things.

SW!CH is a Japanese idol girl group that debuted on December 6, 2018. The current lineup consists of four founding members–AKARI, ASAMI, FUYUKA, MAYUNA–and HARUKA, who joined in 2023. At the beginning of 2022, SW!CH announced a hiatus that ended six months later.

On their official website, SW!CH has announced that they will be “switching off” after their final performance on June 30, 2025. In their statement, the group encouraged their fans to think of this as turning off the lights in their rooms before drifting off to sleep for the night.

SW!CH says they will fall to sleep while holding onto the memories they made during their careers, without knowing whether or not they will “wake up” again. In other words, there’s no telling what the future will hold, but they have promised to be the SW!CH that their fans love until the very end.
Like several other groups, they’ve decided that now is the best time to make a change.
