The story, which primarily revolves around two fictional K-Pop groups— a boy group named Saja Boys, who are secretly demons, and a girl group named HUNTR/X, who also lead a double life as demon hunters.
While the storyline itself has captured the hearts of viewers, the movie’s original soundtrack has become a hot topic on social media, with K-Pop fans and non-fans praising the level of production and execution of each song. HUNTR/X’s songs, “What It Sounds Like, “Golden,” “Takedown,” and “How It’s Done,” have garnered special attention for the powerful vocals, teasing intrigue about who the real singers were behind the animated characters.

EJAE for Rumi
Rumi, the main vocalist of HUNTR/X, has been voiced by EJAE, a Korean-American vocal producer and arranger based in Brooklyn, New York. EJAE also wrote several of the film’s songs. Apart from KPop Demon Hunters, she has an impressive repertoire, having written for artists like TWICE, NMIXX, Red Velvet, and KARD. She is also the voice behind many popular K-Pop demo tracks, such as aespa‘s “Armageddon.”
Audrey Nuna for Mira
The singing voice of Mira, who is the visual and the lead dancer of HUNTR/X, belongs Audrey Nuna (real name Audrey Chu). Born and raised in New Jersey, Audrey is primarily an R&B singer, signed under Sony Music Entertainment. She is best known for her songs “Damn Right” and “Comic Sans.”
Rei Ami for Zoey
Zoey, the American-born rapper, lyricist, and maknae of HUNTR/X got her pipes from Rei Ami, a Korean-American singer-songwriter and rapper. She rose to prominence in 2020 with “Freak,” a song that became extremely popular on TikTok.
These three talented women have undoubtedly made a lasting impression on K-Pop fans, with many arguing that they outdid many reigning idols.
