He experienced a yo-yo effect weight gain.
Recently, the latest weight loss tool popularized is weight loss injections. Initially used by those managing their diabetes, many GLP-1s have begun being used for weight loss.
GLP-1s like Ozempic, Wegovy, and more slow the stomach’s emptying, reducing appetite.

Their usage, while effective for some, does come with controversy, both from them being taken by those not clinically obese and the side effects they have.
Recently, the topic came up on a reality show featuring Super Junior‘s Shindong, who spoke about his experiences with dieting.

On an episode of KBS2‘s ‘Problem Child in House,’ Shindong spoke in depth about his dieting efforts, as he previously went from 116 KG to 79 KG (around 255 to around 174 lbs). He revealed he mainly ate brown rice with a small amount of anchovies, wrapped in a lettuce leaf.
The idol also shared that he tried Wegovy, but said it was ineffective even at a high dosage.
In the episode, Shindong also revealed that he experienced the yo-yo effect, likely due to his previous extreme diet, which caused him to regain weight.
