“Omniscient Reader” has shared behind-the-scenes photos showcasing the cast’s professionalism on set!
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” is a film that tells the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
In newly released behind-the-scenes stills, Ahn Hyo Seop is fully immersed in his role as Kim Dok Ja, moving between reality and fantasy realms, including the subway and the belly of an Ichthyosaur (sea creature). Even as the novel’s world unfolds before him, his piercing gaze stands out, and his fully committed expressions vividly show his dedication to the character.
Lee Min Ho draws attention with an expression showing his deep connection to Yoo Joong Hyuk, a character burdened by loneliness after enduring repeated regressions and the deaths of his companions. Lee Min Ho reveals the character’s complex emotions even in the middle of a life-or-death battle, portraying his multi-layered nature in a vivid way.
Chae Soo Bin, who plays Yoo Sang Ah, makes a strong impression with one serious look as she studies the monitor after filming in a subway tunnel. She delivered flawless action scenes, shooting silk threads in front of a blue screen, and showed unwavering focus, revealing her dedication to the character.
Shin Seung Ho, who plays Lee Hyun Sung, exudes commanding charisma and maintains a strong presence even off camera. He was seen staying focused and holding his emotions before filming, showing his complete immersion in the character.
Nana, who plays Jung Hee Won, reviews her performance with sweat-soaked hair and a serious gaze right after finishing an action scene. Even after the intense sequence, her steady focus on the monitor highlights her deep immersion and passion for the character.
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, who plays Lee Ji Hye, draws attention in a school uniform while holding a rifle. Even in a tense atmosphere, her steady gaze on a single point reflects both the calmness and determined will of the character.
