The upcoming action hero series “Twelve” has unveiled new stills ahead of the premiere!
Inspired by the 12 zodiac animals of the East, “Twelve” tells the story of 12 angels living in the human world in human form to protect the Korean Peninsula from evil spirits. Long ago, the angels barely managed to seal the forces of evil in the gates of hell through their sacrifice, bringing peace. However, with the evil spirits awakening, chaos returns.
The newly released stills highlight the conflict between the angels, led by Tae San (Ma Dong Seok), and the forces of evil, centered on Ogui (Park Hyung Sik).
Thousands of years ago, eight angels lost four of their own in a monumental battle but ultimately sealed the gates of hell, bringing peace to the world. Since then, the angels who remained on Earth in human form, sealing a special power within the gates, have quietly stayed by humanity’s side, enduring countless hardships over the centuries. Despite humanity’s endless selfishness and their own guilt over lost comrades, their resolve to protect the world has never wavered.
In the released stills, the angels are shown running “Angel Capital” in a peaceful human world, protecting the good from evil humans. Although they had vowed never to interfere in human affairs again, they rise and take action when the forces of evil resurface.
Meanwhile, the forces of evil have gathered strength once again to dominate the world. Sa Min (Kim Chan Hyung), a priest who’s on evil’s side, plans to awaken Ogui and use his power to plunge the world into darkness.
In another still, Sa Min casts a piercing gaze, while Ogui, standing beside him, displays a sharp, menacing presence. The image hints at the dark shadow about to fall and heightens anticipation for the intense clash between good and evil.
“Twelve” will premiere on August 23 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
