Lee Sun-bin Shares Heartfelt Story Behind Her 8-Year Relationship with Lee Kwang-soo for the First Time

After years of public dating, Lee Sun-bin has finally opened up in detail about her relationship with actor and entertainer Lee Kwang-soo, whom she’s been dating for eight years.

Appearing on Ji Suk-jin‘s YouTube channel, “Jipyeonhan World,” in a video titled “Lee Sun-bin’s Noise Marketing” uploaded on June 20, the actress candidly reflected on their love story with warmth and humor.

When Ji Suk-jin brought up her boyfriend, Lee Sun-bin responded with ease, saying, _”You can talk about him. At this point, it would be strange if someone didn’t bring him up around me.” _Ji Suk-jin even read a sweet message from Kwang-soo sent just before filming, “Hyung, Sun-bin is on your show today. Please take good care of her.”

Sun-bin shyly smiled and shared, “I told him I was nervous about this appearance.”

Their story began like a K-drama plot. Ji Suk-jin recalled, “When you first appeared on Running Man, you said Kwang-soo was your ideal type. I thought you were joking, but it turned out to be real.”

Lee Sun-bin then revealed how it all started. “After Squad 38 ended, I did an interview and casually mentioned Kwang-soo as my ideal type. I didn’t realize that the Running Man team would actually read that.” The producers, preparing a special episode where guests met their ideal types, invited her based on that interview. “At the time, I didn’t know any better. Most people fake their answers, but I just told the truth. And that became my ‘thing’ on variety shows.”

Despite being the one who initially expressed interest, she emphasized that Kwang-soo was the one who made the effort. “Let me make this clear—even though I said he was my ideal type first, he’s the one who worked hard to make this relationship happen.”

Ji Suk-jin laughed, “You may have opened the door, but Kwang-soo walked through it.” In a lighthearted moment, Ji Suk-jin challenged the couple’s bond by asking how many questions Kwang-soo could answer about her. “Probably all of them,” Lee Sun-bin replied confidently.

Ji Suk-jin called Kwang-soo live, and while he nailed most of the answers, he slipped up on one—her favorite color.

When Lee Sun-bin took the phone, she playfully scolded him: “You don’t know it’s orange?” before hanging up with a laugh, bringing smiles all around.

Their interaction revealed not just their compatibility but the deep friendship and understanding behind their long-standing relationship. A love that began with a televised joke has quietly grown into one of the most admired real-life romances in Korean entertainment.
