Disney+’s upcoming drama “Tempest” has unveiled new stills of Lee Sang Hee and Joo Jong Hyuk!
“Tempest” follows Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a renowned UN ambassador who sets out to uncover the truth behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, and San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of unknown nationality who must protect her, as they confront a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula.
Lee Sang Hee stars as Yeo Mi Ji, Moon Ju’s loyal aide. Having lived abroad with Moon Ju since her days as a diplomat, Mi Ji shares a deep bond with her. She is defined by unwavering trust and respect for Moon Ju, willing to follow her into even the most dangerous situations without hesitation.
Lee Sang Hee shared, “I even hand-copied our nation’s Constitution, thinking it might help me embody a character who walks toward an ideal together with others. ‘Tempest’ is a project that fills me with pride just to be a part of.”
Joo Jong Hyuk takes on the role of Park Chang Hee, Moon Ju’s chief of security. An elite graduate of the police academy and former ace of the Cyber Investigation Bureau, Chang Hee boasts an impressive career. After the assassination attempt on the presidential candidate, he becomes solely responsible for Moon Ju’s safety. Striving for perfection against the ongoing threats surrounding her, he grows wary when San Ho, the newly appointed head of a separate security team, begins to draw too close to Moon Ju.
Joo Jong Hyuk shared, “I learned directly from someone who had actually worked as a presidential bodyguard, from the posture and walk to how to scan the surroundings and maintain vigilance. If in the past I’ve shown a freer and more playful side, this time I focused on delivering a more restrained and emotionless performance.”
“Tempest” will premiere with three episodes on September 10, followed by two new episodes weekly starting September 17, for a total of nine episodes.
