JTBC’s upcoming “Beyond the Bar” has unveiled a new poster featuring Lee Jin Uk and Jung Chaeyeon!
“Beyond the Bar” is an office drama that follows Kang Hyo Min (Jung Chaeyeon), an upstanding and confident yet socially awkward rookie attorney at the law firm Yullim. Under the mentorship of Yoon Seok Hoon (Lee Jin Uk), a cold but exceptionally skilled partner attorney, Hyo Min gradually grows into a true lawyer as she navigates the challenges of the legal world.
In the newly released main poster, Yoon Seok Hoon is seen walking ahead, with Kang Hyo Min following closely behind. Yoon Seok Hoon, moving forward in silence, exudes the aura of a cool-headed professional with his restrained facial expression and determined gaze. His eyes, which seem to glance backward rather than straight ahead, reveal his qualities as a team leader who keeps an eye on his junior from time to time.
Following diligently behind, Kang Hyo Min, true to her passionate nature, is seen carrying a stack of documents in her arms. Her bright smile, even as she hurries along, reflects the confidence and enthusiasm of a rookie, while the way she clutches the documents tightly with both arms shows her earnest determination to fulfill her responsibilities as a novice lawyer.
The phrases that describe each character—“Lawyering, coldly. Veteran lawyer Yoon Seok Hoon” and “Lawyering, passionately. Rookie lawyer Kang Hyo Min”—clearly highlight the differences in their personalities. Although they approach the same case from completely different perspectives, the fact that they share the same goal of winning for their client raises curiosity about what kind of synergy this duo will create.
“Beyond the Bar” will premiere on August 2 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
