A dangerous proposition awaits Lee Dong Wook in JTBC’s new drama “The Nice Guy.”
“The Nice Guy” is a noir drama that follows Park Seok Chul (Lee Dong Wook), the eldest grandson of a third-generation gangster family with an unexpectedly pure heart, and his first love Kang Mi Young (Lee Sung Kyung), a woman who dreams of becoming a singer.
The newly released stills offer a glimpse into the moment when cracks first began to form in the relationship between Park Seok Chul, Kang Tae Hoon (Park Hoon), and Kim Chang Soo (Lee Moon Shik).
At a funeral, Park Seok Chul looks around warily, suggesting that something unsettling is unfolding. Kang Tae Hoon is seen wearing a mourning band as he desperately rummages through an overturned condolence box, looking utterly devastated. Meanwhile, Kim Chang Soo’s cold gaze hints at the bitter fate that awaits the two men.
Once the commotion subsides and everyone leaves, the only person remaining by Kang Tae Hoon’s side is Park Seok Chul. The mourning band now tied around Seok Chul’s arm and his worried expression deepen the intrigue surrounding their past relationship.
In the present day, Park Seok Chul is spotted outside a police station, looking visibly displeased. As viewers wonder what has brought him there, tension rises with another still showing Seok Chul facing Kim Chang Soo in the Myeongsan Industries office. Locked in a fierce power struggle with Kang Tae Hoon, Kim Chang Soo makes a dangerous proposition to Seok Chul, his most trusted subordinate. Attention is now focused on what this new perilous event will mean for Seok Chul, who wishes to leave the organization behind.
The production team shared, “Episodes 3 and 4 of ‘The Nice Guy’ will intensify the conflict between Myeongsan Industries and Samjun Construction. Viewers will get a deeper look into the lingering grudges and complex pasts haunting these characters. It will also be interesting to see where Park Seok Chul and Kang Tae Hoon’s long-standing friendship ultimately leads.”
Episodes 3 and 4 of “The Nice Guy” will air back-to-back on July 25 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
