In one of the shortest-lived debuts in K-pop history, SOLIA, a five-member girl group under Space Music Entertainment, officially disbanded just five days after making their debut. The group, consisting of members Soree, Hayeon, Suna, Soyeon, and Eunbi, debuted on August 17, 2021 with their digital single “Dream.”
However, by August 22, fans were blindsided by the sudden announcement that the group had already disbanded. The news was shared via SOLIA’s official Instagram account, where Space Music cited unspecified “company circumstances” as the reason behind the decision. The statement expressed regret and thanked fans for their brief support, while encouraging continued interest in the members’ future individual activities.
Later, the agency clarified that the disbandment was not solely due to company struggles but rather due to differences in vision among the members regarding their careers. The group reportedly had conflicting opinions about their future direction, leading to the decision to disband and allow each member to pursue their own paths.
Despite the abrupt end to their group activities, the members of SOLIA had begun to attract attention online for their visuals and choreography, leaving many fans disappointed about what could have been. Their debut track “Dream”, although no longer promoted, remains available on streaming platforms and YouTube, where it has since gained curiosity views due to the group’s short-lived career.
