Netizens are enraged.
A Thai tourist in Seoul went viral after posting a disturbing encounter with a South Korean taxi driver.

Things quickly got personal as the driver asked if she had a boyfriend and offered her a job cleaning rooms. However, after stopping suddenly, he used a translation app to suggest she could “pay with her body” if she didn’t have money for the fare to Busan.

The woman reported the driver via the taxi app and warned others online, sharing a video that has since gained over 660,000 likes.

Many netizens in both Thailand and Korea were horrified, with Korean commenters even apologizing on the driver’s behalf and urging her to go to the police.

However, under current Korean law, verbal sexual harassment isn’t considered a crime, sparking calls for greater consequences for these kinds of incidents.
