A male contestant currently appearing on the popular reality dating show I Am Solo has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a woman. According to the Seoul Mapo Police Station, a man in his 30s, identified only by his surname Park, was taken into emergency custody on June 21 on suspicion of aggravated rape, a charge applied in cases involving victims who are unable to resist.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on June 21, 2025, in a parking lot located in the Seogyo-dong area of Seoul’s Mapo District. Park is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at the scene. Following his arrest, police requested a formal detention warrant, which was issued by the court late on the night of June 23.
Park has gained public attention through his appearances on ENA and SBS Plus’s popular dating reality shows I Am Solo and its spinoff I Am Solo: Love Continues. His arrest has sparked widespread concern and criticism online, especially among viewers of the show.
Neither the production teams of I Am Solo nor the broadcasters have released an official statement regarding Park’s arrest at the time of writing.
