Upcoming drama “BITCH X RICH 2” has dropped new stills featuring Kim Min Kyu and Won Kyu Bin!
Season 1 of “BITCH X RICH” followed Kim Hye In (Lee Eun Saem), the sole witness to a high school girl’s murder, as she transferred to the elite Cheongdam International High School. There, she met Baek Jena (Kim Ye Rim), the queen of Diamond 6—the school’s most powerful clique—and the prime suspect in the case.
In “BITCH X RICH 2,” new characters will shake up the hierarchy, igniting an even fiercer power struggle within Diamond 6. The upcoming season will also delve deeper into Hye In and Jena’s personal growth as they begin to realize what truly matters to them.
Kim Min Kyu plays Cha Jin Wook, the illegitimate son of a rising chaebol family who transfers to Cheongdam International High School. Won Kyu Bin plays Lee Sa Rang, a freshman at the same school who follows in the footsteps of his older brother, Lee So Mang (Yoo Jung Hoo), by joining Diamond 6.
With both actors drawing attention for their striking visuals and layered characters, anticipation is building for their performances. On June 26, Kim Min Kyu and Won Kyu Bin each shared their thoughts on their roles and filming experience.
Kim Min Kyu explained why he joined the project, saying, “I was drawn to it because the genre and character were new to me. I saw it as a great chance to show a different side of myself as an actor, so I decided to take the role.”
He shared that he had in-depth discussions with the director about the project. “Since I’m joining in a new season, I thought a lot about how to make the character feel natural and three-dimensional without seeming out of place,” he said.
Describing Cha Jin Wook, Kim Min Kyu said the character has “a subtle yet undeniable charm that’s hard to dislike.” He continued, “At first, it’s hard to read what he’s thinking, but as time goes on, his actions start to make sense. That complexity is what makes him such an appealing character.”
He added to the intrigue by summarizing the character with three key phrases: “illegitimate child,” “poker face,” and “lone wolf.”
“Cha Jin Wook has the serious weakness of being an illegitimate child and is hard to read, which gives him a poker face,” Kim Min Kyu said. “The term ‘lone wolf’ is something the director used to describe him. If you’re curious about why, I hope you’ll tune in and watch.”
In his first drama role, Won Kyu Bin shared his excitement, saying, “I was one of the viewers who really enjoyed the previous season, and I was very curious about what kind of story would unfold this time.” He added, “I was honored to be cast as Lee Sa Rang and wanted to bring out the character’s lovable charm.”
Won Kyu Bin also talked about how much preparation went into the role. He said, “There’s a scene where I ride a motorcycle, so I went and got my motorcycle license. And to show Sa Rang’s puppy-like personality, I grew my hair out into a soft, fluffy style.”
He continued, “Since this is the first project of my career, it’s incredibly special to me. I gave it my all so that it can be just as meaningful to viewers. I hope you’ll tune in and show your support.”
Kim Min Kyu added, “It’s a drama full of tension and charm that will keep you on edge, so please give it lots of love.”
“BITCH X RICH 2” is set to premiere on July 3 and will be available on Viki.
