Disney+’s upcoming drama “Tempest” has shared new stills of Jun Ji Hyun!
“Tempest” follows Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a renowned UN ambassador who sets out to uncover the truth behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, and San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of unknown nationality who must protect her, as they confront a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula.
One of the newly released stills captures UN ambassador Moon Ju with a confident gaze as she delivers a speech. Another image shows her jogging at dawn, hinting at her firm and resilient everyday life. Later, her sharp gaze and bold determination as she investigates hidden secrets spark curiosity about her character.
Jun Ji Hyun described Moon Ju as “quiet but strong and resilient,” explaining that she saw the character as a challenge to take on as an actress.
Meanwhile, “Tempest” writer Jung Seo Kyung remarked, “From the moment I started writing the story, Moon Ju was Jun Ji Hyun. I thought about which of the many different sides of Jun Ji Hyun I should bring out [through the script].”
“Tempest” will premiere with three episodes on September 10, followed by two new episodes weekly starting September 17, for a total of nine episodes. Check out a teaser for the drama here!
