The stars of JTBC’s “Good Boy” have shared their thoughts ahead of tonight’s finale!
“Good Boy” is an action-comedy drama about a group of former national athletes who becomes police officers through a special recruit program. Swapping their medals for badges, they take on a world full of corruption, deception, and injustice.
With just one episode left in the drama’s run, Park Bo Gum expressed his gratitude to the drama’s viewers by saying, “I’d like to sincerely thank the viewers who watched ‘Good Boy,’ which we all worked really hard on and did our best to film.”
“I got to meet people with bright hearts while filming ‘Good Boy,’ which made me truly happy,” he continued. “I think there are many people in the world who uphold justice and protect good people. I’m cheering on the good fight of the righteous people who protect our society, and I’d like to thank all the ‘good-vengers’ who are working for a safe and healthy South Korea.”
Kim So Hyun humbly remarked, “It was truly an honor to be able to play Ji Han Na in ‘Good Boy’ and take on a fresh challenge as an actor. While forming a team and throwing my entire body into [protecting] the people I love, I also gained a great deal of energy.”
“Even though I was always lacking in many ways, I’d like to sincerely thank the director and staff who were always laughing with us and who brought a cool Han Na and a cool ‘Good Boy’ to life,” she went on. “Thank you so much to the viewers who laughed and cried along with us while watching ‘Good Boy’ and who gave Han Na lots of love. I hope all your days from now on are only ‘Good.’”
Oh Jung Se dramatically declared, “Finally, the day has come for Min Joo Young to be punished.” He added, “I’d like to thank the ‘Good Boy’ team and the viewers who joined us for this long journey.”
The actor went on to reflect on the message of the drama, sharing, “I hope that the efforts of people who were not born good but strive to lead good lives will ultimately be rewarded both in the drama and in real life. Even if the journey is long and rough, let’s get back up no matter what and walk step by step while dreaming of a brighter world. It won’t be easy to create a world filled with only justice, but I hope that a lot of justice will defeat a lot of evil.”
Meanwhile, Lee Sang Yi commented, “The time I spent with ‘Good Boy’ was like a precious gift for me.”
“Thanks to the precious people who worked hard for this drama, I was able to shine and grow,” he continued. “I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who loved ‘Good Boy,’ including our Special Criminal Investigation Team, which became a family during the long shoot, as well as all of the staff. I was really, really happy [during filming].”
Looking back on his experience filming the drama, Heo Sung Tae said, “The first thing that stands out in my memory is the staff who worked really hard while creating ‘Good Boy’ together.”
Heo Sung Tae also shared his gratitude to the drama’s director, noting, “The director was considerate of the actors and poured her blood and sweat into toiling on set so that the actors could act freely, and I’m sincerely grateful to her. I’d also like to thank everyone who gave ‘Good Boy’ their love and support.”
Finally, Tae Won Seok remarked, “Above all else, I mostly feel sad that ‘Good Boy’ is already ending. That’s how precious this drama was to me. It was an absolute honor to be able to work with such great people, and I was grateful to have been able to show a new side of the actor Tae Wo Seok. It was a truly happy time.”
He continued, “I’d like to offer my deepest thanks to ‘Good-vengers’ Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Heo Sung Tae, and Lee Sang Yi; Oh Jung Se, who showed us the greatest of villains; director Shim Na Yeon and the entire cast and crew; and writer Lee Dae Il, who created the character of Jae Hong. I’m also sincerely grateful to the viewers, who always cheered us on.”
