Channel A’s upcoming drama “My Lovely Journey” has unveiled new stills, giving a glimpse into its diverse characters!
Based on a bestselling Japanese novel by Maha Harada, “My Lovely Journey” follows Kang Yeo Reum (Gong Seung Yeon), a former idol-turned-travel reporter who has never been the center of attention in her life. As she takes on travel assignments on behalf of others, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, coming to understand the true meaning of success and life.
Yeo Reum is part of the small but tight-knit Ogu Entertainment. Each member of the company serves as support for one another, forming a unique workplace family.
Yoo Joon Sang plays Oh Sang Sik, the CEO of Ogu Entertainment. Though the company has seen better days, Sang Sik remains devoted to it, upholding both loyalty and a quiet sense of romanticism. Kim Jae Young portrays Lee Yeon Seok, an aspiring film director who currently works as the editor for Yeo Reum’s travel program.
Hong Soo Hyun takes on the role of Yoo Ha Na, the finance director of Ogu Entertainment. Despite her lofty title, Ha Na has managed the books for the modest company since its founding, proving herself to be an indispensable member.
Known for her striking visual and candid way of speaking, she exudes a unique charm. Having dreamed of becoming an actress in the past, she now expresses her love and loyalty for the company in her own way after working there for over a decade.
Oh Hyun Joong plays Hyun Ba Ram, the company’s planning director and all-around utility man. As a true multitasker, he juggles everything from driving to managerial roles.
His ever-changing hairstyle—wearing it down on gloomy days and in a ponytail on happier ones—adds visual intrigue to his character. While he often jokes about quitting within the year, Ba Ram hides a warm, caring heart beneath his individualistic Gen Z attitude.
The production team remarked, “Hong Soo Hyun perfectly embodies the many facets of Yoo Ha Na, adding joy to the story. Likewise, Oh Hyun Joong brings both the vibrant personality and inner depth of Hyun Ba Ram to life, offering viewers a refreshing and charming character.”
They continued, “The perfect ensemble cast—Gong Seung Yeon, Yoo Joon Sang, Kim Jae Young, Hong Soo Hyun, and Oh Hyun Joong—will create strong synergy, delivering heartfelt resonance and warm healing to viewers.”
“My Lovely Journey” is set to premiere on August 2 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
