The Bias List is a K-pop blog that also covers a fair amount of J-pop. But just like most music fans, I enjoy tracks from all around the world. So, I thought I’d start a monthly round-up of some of the non-K-pop songs that have caught my ear. No ratings — just highlights!

ADÉLA – Death By Devotion
So far, her music has been much more interesting than the group (Katseye) she was almost a part of. This is a great 90s-influenced electro banger.
Agnes – MILK
Her new singles haven’t hit me in the same way as her last album, but “okay” Agnes is still better than most other artists.
Barbara Bobak – Stan Na Dan
I posted this as part of my mid-year highlights and stand by that decision. I know this is a weird comparison, but it reminds me of a Serbian The Chaser.
Debbii Dawson – Gut Feelings
Sounds like an 80s aerobic song and that is definitely a compliment.
Greczula – Higher Place
I wasn’t overly impressed by his Melodifestivalen entry this year, but this follow-up is fantastic, anthemic pomp rock.
Lazer Club x LAU – Revenge For Love
A pitch perfect re-creation of shimmering 80s synthpop.
Maria Sur – Is It Love?
The kind of singalong, schlager Scandipop anthem I’ll always get behind.
Mileo – Biology
Another high-octane pop banger from this quirky performer.
Power Rob x Bending Grid – Mr. Right
This has such a satisfying, rhythmic groove that perfectly recalls atmospheric 80s pop. I love the vocals, too.
Sergey Lazarev – Безответно (Unrequited)
It’s funny. I was just familiarizing myself with Sergey’s discography this month when his new album popped up out of nowhere. All the songs are great, but this synthpop stunner is a real standout. I love that pumping, power note chorus!
Vincint – I Forgot
No one does cathartic club banger better than Vincint. I’m so happy to have them back and this is another instant classic.
