While times have changed, you still are not very likely to find active K-Pop idols participating in graphic or sexually explicit content. While there are exceptions, like EXID‘s Hani and Dal Shabet‘s Woo Hee appearing in Hit The Spot…
…or 2PM Nichkhun‘s group sex scene in The Modelizer, for the most part, idols do not appear in that content even to this day.
Because of this, you can imagine how shocking it was when a former girl group member made her film debut in an erotic film featuring full nudity back in 2014. In 2011, Dal Shabet made their debut with “Super Dupa Diva.” At debut, there were originally six members, but leader Viki (also known as Baek Da Eun or Olivia) left just a year and a half.
She briefly worked as a weathercaste for JTBC, but ended her time after her initial contract was not renewed by the broadcasting agency.
After a film cameo in the 2012 film Wonderful Radio, Viki made her official film debut in A Pharisee, a film about a man raised in a very conservative household who unleashes his sexual desires after they begin appearing to him in a dream. Viki starred as Eun Ji, one of the targets of his attraction, and was in a nude sex scene with the main character, Ye Hak Myung, winning a rookie award for her efforts.
Following this film, Viki appeared in 2015’s “Nice Sister-in-Law” and 2016’s “P.S. Girl,” two more films of a sexual nature. Many were surprised when it was revealed that Viki’s company tricked her into taking the roles, initially promising little nudity.
When Viki took legal action against the company, she discovered it was an illegal establishment. After this career-changing move, Viki seemed to take her career in a different direction.
These days, Viki works as a dance instructor, teaching K-Pop dances as the CEO of her own company Viki Company.
