Netizens aren’t having it.
On June 18, 2025, it was officially announced that Ju Haknyeon would be departing from THE BOYZ. The news followed an exclusive News1 report, citing Japan’s Shūkan Bunshun, which claimed Ju Haknyeon and a group of acquaintances were seen meeting former Japanese adult film actress Kirara Asuka at a bar in Tokyo’s Roppongi district. Shortly after, One Hundred terminated his contract and confirmed his exit from the agency.
Korean media further alleged that Ju Haknyeon had solicited prostitution services during the encounter. In response, Ju Haknyeon took to Instagram to deny the accusations through a handwritten letter.
On May 30, 2025, I had been present at a gathering with alcohol involved around dawn, along with my acquinatances. It was true that I was there, but it is totally untrue that I participated in neither illegal actions or prostitution as suggested by articles and rumors. I am deeply reflecting over my actions and want to offer my sincerest apologies to those who were shocked.
— Ju Haknyeon
Netizens have not only rolled their eyes at his letter, but they also pointed out the awkward spacing in his sentences, alleging that someone might have instructed him to pen it as such. He broke up the word “worried” in Korean.

Firstly, I’m sorry to have wor-ried everyone due to such unsavory matters as well as the fans who were very shocked by the news reports about me.
— Ju Haknyeon
Netizens mocked him in the comments.

- Then why did you leave LOL.
- Did his company stop an article from Bunshin? Did they make a move before Bunshin’s next article? Whatever it is, the truth will come out I guess.
- Did you write down exa-ctly whatever someone texted you?
- Wow LOL.
- Seems like he wrote it like that in case he gets caught up in legal complications.
- Did he copy out whatever someone wrote for him? Da heck is ‘wor-ried’.
