A rising actor has been dropped from his agency following accusations of cheating on several women, and more.
Shell Thakrit Chaiwut is a Thai actor and model who is best known for his roles in the BL (Boys’ Love) series Playboyy, The Sign, and Bed Friend.
Recently, Shell was accused of dating at least seven women at once without their consent, being disingenuous in relationships, and dropping women after he got what he wanted from them. Netizens provided photos, screenshots of chat messages, and even bank transfers as evidence of Shell’s bad behavior.
“If I had the money, I’d help you. But it’s okay. I understand,” Shell allegedly texted one woman, who asked him to help her with her visit to a pregnancy clinic. She said that after she sent 10,000 baht (about $305 USD) to Shell, he stopped responding to her.
After the Facebook post that started the scandal went viral, netizens began to share their own alleged experiences with Shell, using trending hashtags, such as #เชลธกฤต (#ShellScandal). Among other things, netizens claimed that Shell slid into their DMs with dubious business-related requests, such as promising to compensate a woman who helped him set up a real estate venture.
The agency Copy A Bangkok has now terminated Shell’s contract, stating that the decision was mutual.
