Netizens are not happy…
aespa’s Giselle is in hot water with Korean netizens after eagle eyed fans spotted an unexpected interaction between her and convicted rapper Sik-K.
A post has started trending on popular Korean forum Instiz about the shocking interaction with netizens in the comments sharing their outrage and upset.

The controversy began when eagle-eyed netizens revisited a post made by the idol on May 27. In the post, Giselle uploaded a series of photos, including a selfie, and chose Sik-K’s track “LOV3,” a collaboration with Lil Moshpit, as the background music.
Although the post initially went unnoticed, it resurfaced after netizens noticed Sik-K himself commented on it, writing, “I have to show it again.” Giselle responded by liking the comment, which sparked a wave of backlash online.
The situation escalated due to Sik-K’s criminal record. The rapper was previously sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years, after turning himself in for illegal drug use. Given his conviction, many Korean netizens were dismayed that a popular female idol would interact with him so openly on social media.
Many expressed discomfort and disappointment, especially considering the expectations placed on idols and their public image.

- “Druggie.”
- “Yikes… Of all people, a female idol?”
- “What the……”
- “This really feels unnecessary.”
- “Drugs… seriously, was that necessary?”
With idols held to high standards both on and off the stage, even seemingly minor actions can provoke intense scrutiny from the public.
