He recently made a surprise return to the industry.
Korea’s most beloved actor, who recently returned to the industry after a long hiatus, reportedly gained immense wealth while inactive for over a decade.
The actor in question is Won Bin, who disappeared from the entertainment industry in 2010.

Won Bin and Lee Na Young, the beloved celebrity couple, recently made headlines for their financial prowess. According to reports, a building in Seoul’s Cheongdam-dong neighborhood, which the couple jointly owned, appreciated a whopping ₩28.7 billion KRW (about $21.0 million USD) over seven years. Won and Lee had acquired the property for ₩14.5 billion KRW (about $10.6 million USD), and now its estimated worth stands at around ₩43.2 billion KRW (about $31.7 million USD).

Notably, this is not the sole property in Won Bin’s portfolio. He also owns a building in Samseong-dong, Gangnam, which is currently valued at ₩6.90 billion KRW (about $5.06 million USD). Another one of his properties in Seongsu-dong is currently worth ₩9.50 billion KRW (about $6.96 million USD). Given the increase in his property values across the board, Won Bin qualifies as one of the most successful celebrity real-estate owners in the country.
Meanwhile, Won Bin debuted in 1997 and has enjoyed sustained popularity despite not appearing in any drama or movie since his iconic 2010 movie, The Man From Nowhere. In his 28-year-long career, Won Bin has acquired only 14 acting projects to his name, including six movies and eight dramas.

It wasn’t until recently that he made his return to acting, taking everyone by surprise. You can read more about it here:
