Choo Young Woo and Shin Si Ah will be starring in a new film together!
On July 2, the film distributor BY4M Studio announced that Choo Young Woo and Shin Si Ah will star as the main leads in the Korean remake of the Japanese film “Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight.” In addition, director Kim Hye Young, who received critical and audience acclaim for her feature debut film “It’s Okay!” will be directing the film.
“Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight” is a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by author Ichijo Misaki. It tells the fresh yet heartrending love story between a female student suffering from anterograde amnesia, whose memories reset every time she wakes up, and an ordinary male student living a dull and uneventful life. The film was released in 2022 and attracted about 1.21 million moviegoers in Korea, becoming a box office hit.
Choo Young Woo will take on the role of Kim Jae Won, a character who lives each day without any particular goal in life and gradually begins to change after meeting Han Seo Yoon, who is his complete opposite. He expressed his aspirations, saying, “I really enjoyed both the original novel and the film, so I definitely wanted to be a part of this project. I’ve been looking forward to it ever since I received the offer, and I really want to do a great job.”
Shin Si Ah will portray Han Seo Yoon, a girl who suffers from anterograde amnesia but tries to live each day joyfully with her playful and positive energy. Ahead of filming, Shin Si Ah shared her excitement, saying, “As a fan of the original novel, I’m so happy and thrilled to be able to play a character from a project I love. I will do my very best during filming so that the warmth and sincerity of the story can be conveyed to the audience.”
The Korean remake of “Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight” is scheduled to begin filming on July 5. Stay tuned!
