SBS’s upcoming comedy sports drama “Try a Miracle in Us” has unveiled new stills of Im Se Mi!
“Try a Miracle in Us” tells the story of Joo Ga Ram (Yoon Kye Sang), a former rugby star who falls from grace due to a doping scandal. Years later, he returns to his alma mater as the new coach of its bottom-ranked high school rugby team and leads the underdog squad on a quest to win the National Sports Festival.
Im Se Mi will play the role of Joo Ga Ram’s ex-girlfriend Bae Yi Ji, who is a coach for the Hanyang High School shooting team. Despite managing to endure the head coach’s abuse of power with persistence and mental strength, her life is disrupted when Joo Ga Ram, who vanished three years earlier, suddenly returns as the new rugby coach at the school.
In the newly released stills, Bae Yi Ji is seen practicing alone at the shooting range. Dressed casually in a white shirt and jeans, she still radiates the sharp intensity of a seasoned shooter. With a heavy air pistol in one hand and her other hand tucked casually in her pocket, her poised stance reflects the concentration and inner strength forged through years of steady training.
Im Se Mi fully embodies the role of Bae Yi Ji, displaying flawless shooting posture and a piercing gaze that shines even through shooting glasses. Known for her strong and confident presence in previous roles, Im Se Mi now elevates that image further, this time with a firearm in hand.
In the drama, Bae Yi Ji’s unexpected reunion with her ex-boyfriend Joo Ga Ram will begin to challenge her previously unshakable resolve. How will the romance between Bae Yi Ji and Joo Ga Ram unfold when he returns after three years?
The drama’s production team commented, “Actress Im Se Mi will make a new transformation in the role of Bae Yi Ji, the coach of the shooting team. Im Se Mi will portray a strong character who stays true to her path out of a quiet passion for shooting, delivering a performance that has both detail and depth.” They added, “The reunion romance between exes Yoon Gye Sang and Im Se Mi will also be depicted in a compelling way. We hope viewers look forward to it.”
“Try a Miracle in Us” will premiere on July 25 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
