The upcoming comedy film “Pretty Crazy” has unveiled new stills of its cast!
“Pretty Crazy” tells the story of a young, unemployed man whose soul is thoroughly shaken when he takes on an extraordinary part-time job: watching over a woman who transforms into a devil after midnight. The film stars Girls’ Generation’s Lim YoonA, Ahn Bo Hyun, Sung Dong Il, and Joo Hyun Young, and it is directed by Lee Sang Geun of “Exit,” which also starred Lim YoonA alongside Jo Jung Suk.
In this film, Lim YoonA takes on a bold new role, portraying a character unlike any she has played before. Ahn Bo Hyun, with his tall frame and puppy-like charm, brings a warm and endearing energy to his character. Their unexpected pairing piques curiosity about the chemistry they will bring to the screen.
The newly released stills offer a sneak peek of the film and highlight the striking contrast between Seon Ji (Lim YoonA)’s two personas. During the day, Seon Ji appears neat and composed with a tidy hairstyle. By night, she tranforms into devil Seon Ji with playful curls and a vivid red outfit.
Gil Goo (Ahn Bo Hyun), on the other hand, stands out for different reasons. His awkward smile and stiff posture suggest he is overwhelmed by Seon Ji’s intense presence.
Adding to the intrigue are Seon Ji’s father (Sung Dong Il), who appears completely worn out from caring for the devilish Seon Ji, and her cousin Ara (Joo Hyun Young), who exudes an eerie, mysterious vibe. This unusual mix of characters, each with their own quirks, builds anticipation for the unique type of humor the film will deliver.
The stills also offer a glimpse into director Lee Sang Geun’s imaginative vision, filled with fresh and surprising moments. From Seon Ji falling backward off a swing and being caught just in time by Gil Goo, to Seon Ji’s father threatening Gil Goo with a baguette, each scene adds to the film’s charm with unexpected comedic beats. A final still shows both Ara and Seon Ji’s father wearing priest robes, seemingly attempting an exorcism.
“Pretty Crazy” is set to hit theaters in August.
