The beloved duo was about to work on their third K-Drama together.
The iconic duo of Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si were in the process of reuniting on screen in an upcoming K-Drama, but not anymore.

Lee Do Hyun is confirmed to mark his return to the entertainment industry post military service through the new K-Drama, Grand Galaxy Hotel. Go Min Si was also finalized to appear in the project. However, on June 26, the actress’s agency, Mystic Story, confirmed to TenAsia that she was dropping out of the drama due to her recent school bullying controversy.
It is true that Go Min Si has decided not to appear in the drama. Rather than pushing ahead with filming while the school bullying allegations remained unresolved, we decided that it would be better to address the issue first. So, after amicable discussions with the production team, we decided to step down.

Last month, the actress was accused of school violence, which significantly damaged her public image. Shortly after the allegations were made public, the production company of the Grand Galaxy Hotel released a statement saying, “We trust the actress,” confirming that there were no changes to the original casting. They also mentioned the possibility of “responding cautiously,” given that filming hadn’t begun.
Go Min Si and Lee Do Hyun’s on-screen comeback was much anticipated by fans, given their performances in their previous projects, Sweet Home and Youth of May.

After the news of Go Min Si’s departure from the project, rising actress Shi Si Ah was confirmed to be replacing her in the drama.
Grand Galaxy Hotel is slated to begin filming in the second half of 2025.
