Disney+’s upcoming series “Low Life” has unveiled new stills of Im Soo Jung!
Based on a webtoon, “Low Life” is a crime drama that follows a group of down-on-their-luck country folks as they chase after a sunken treasure ship beneath the sea.
Im Soo Jung will play Yang Jeong Sook, the matriarch of Hongbaek Industries, a woman who boldly pursues her deepest desires. In the newly released stills, Im Soo Jung stands out with a sharp gaze, bold makeup, and a voluminous bob styled in 1970s fashion.
Im Soo Jung remarked, “I decided to join because it was a new and different kind of role from any character I had played before, and I strongly wanted to take on the challenge.”
She added, “Yang Jeong Sook is a character who stays true to her desires and never hesitates to show them. She moves forward without any consideration for anything else in order to achieve what she wants.”
The first three episodes of “Low Life” will be released on July 16, followed by two episodes each on July 23, July 30, August 6, and August 13.
