Just days before their highly anticipated comeback, beloved fourth generation girl group H1-KEY has alarmed fans by abruptly canceling several scheduled radio appearances. As a result, speculation and concern has run rampant online.
Over the span of two days, three separate SBS radio programs — Bae Sungjae’s Ten, Wendy’s Young Street, and Cultwo Show — announced sudden changes to their upcoming guest lineups. While not all broadcasts directly named H1-KEY, the group had initially been booked for these appearances as part of promotions for their new release.
On June 24, Bae Sungjae’s Ten updated fans with a revised guest notice, replacing their “Ma.Fia” segment guests with another artist pairing. Just a day earlier, Wendy’s Young Street notified listeners that H1-KEY would no longer appear as planned.

More notably, hosts of the Cultwo Show are reported to have directly addressed H1-KEY’s cancellation on-air, expressing surprise at how close it was to the recording date.
The repeated changes — especially across a single broadcast network like SBS — have triggered a lot of speculation. Fans have begun to question whether the cancellations were due to internal company decisions or more serious, unforeseen circumstances.
Adding to the confusion is the timing. H1-KEY is set to drop their fourth mini album, Lovestruck, on June 26 (KST), marking a significant return nearly a year after their last comeback. Promotional activities in the lead-up to a release are typically crucial, making the group’s absence from these appearances even more puzzling.
As of now, neither H1-KEY’s agency nor SBS has offered an official explanation.
