fromis_9 member Jiheon has sparked attention after seemingly “shading” HYBE.
Earlier in the year, the group left HYBE and Pledis Entertainment, with only five signing to a new management to continue as a group. After the members left the company, netizens accused HYBE of stopping the group from keeping their name.

On June 24, fromis_9 were the latest guests on K Star Next Door.
During the video, they spoke about how there were only five members now.
With the group explaining that they went from nine to eight and now five, but actually four during the program due to illness.
But they emphasized that they are still fromis_9.
Host Jonathan then spoke about the process of keeping the name, and the group explained, “We made a smooth agreement.”
Hilariously, as the members were trying to share the process as being smooth, Jiheon had other ideas as she added, “Are you sure it was smooth?”
Hilariously, the group tried to save the situation by praising their former company and adding, “Our previous agency was nice enough to care about us. We also made a lot of effort. So thankfully, we were able to keep our name.”
Although the older members tried to be positive, netizens couldn’t get over Jiheon’s hilarious remark, which they thought was shading HYBE.
