Rapper and TV personality Lee Youngji recently revealed her impressive 13kg weight loss—and fans are loving her healthier, glow-up look. In a new video with Vogue Korea, she opened up about the simple but consistent habits that helped her slim down, and why her approach is more about balance than obsession.
1. No More Delivery Food
Her first change? Cutting out delivery food. Lee Young Ji explained that while delivery meals are convenient and tasty, they’re often loaded with salt, fat, and carbs—making it easy to gain weight. Instead, she switched to eating mostly home-cooked meals, which helped lower her calorie intake and reduced bloating.
2. Morning Smoothie for Digestion
For breakfast, she shared her go-to drink: a smoothie made of banana, milk, cabbage, and tomato. It’s full of fiber, which helps her feel full longer and also improves digestion—especially helpful when drunk on an empty stomach in the morning.
3. Cardio On An Empty Stomach
Next up, she added morning cardio to her routine. That means doing light exercise like walking or jogging in the morning before eating. She said she tries to get moving as soon as she wakes up to boost her metabolism and start her day with energy.
4. Pilates + Running Combo
She also credited Pilates for helping her tone her body and stay consistent. By combining Pilates with running, she was able to stay active in a way that felt manageable and effective. After her morning workouts, she made it a habit to eat one banana to recharge.
5. Weekly Cheat Meal
Lee Young Ji made it clear she doesn’t believe in extreme restriction. That’s why she allows herself one cheat meal a week to enjoy anything she wants—guilt-free.
6. A Healthy Mindset Around Food
She also spoke honestly about her past struggles with food.
“I used to blame myself for not being able to control my eating, and that just led to more bingeing. It was painful. Instead of trying to lose weight fast or keep the weight off with crazy routines, I wanted to fix the root problem and build better eating habits.”
Lee Young Ji first gained attention as the winner of High School Rapper 3, and later became the first-ever female winner of Show Me the Money 11. She’s released hits like “I’m the ONE,” “Dark Room,” “Day & Night,” and “Trouble,” and continues to be loved for her relatable, unfiltered personality.
