NEXT GIRLZ (未來少女) was a survival show created by TPOP Entertainment and produced by James Chan. The show had 12 episodes in total. NEXT GIRLZ‘s theme song is “未來就是現在 (THE FUTURE IS NOW).” It started airing on July 29, 2023, and aired every Friday at 20:00 Taiwan Standard Time.

About the Show:
– 50% of the scores is from the online voting from beanfun! that would occur for 6 days each time, while the other 50% is from the live voting scores from the judges.
– The most popular performance would be announced live at 20:00 each Friday.
– The final scores would be announced through beanfun!’s live broadcast ranking bits (X).

Album from the Future (Round 1)
About the Round:
– The theme is that the groups would release a single one year ahead from the show’s start.
– Five members from each group are to be chosen by the group’s agency to perform a single they would release in the future.

Scoring:
– There are 40 live judges consisting of senior group members to cast votes for the groups. The judges participated in the shows DD52 and ATOM BOYZ.
– Each group can have up to 200 votes, each judge casting a maximum of 5 points.

Return to the Past (Round 2)
About the Round:
– The theme is that the groups would sample a song from the past.
– Each agency has to pick 4-9 members from each group to perform in this round. The number of performers can’t be repeated amongst the groups.

Scoring:
– There are 18 live judges this round: 16 judges from senior groups and 2 that are the group’s mentors.
– Each mentor can cast a maximum of 20 points. The mentors are Chris Flow and Ikuan.
– Each senior group member can cast up to 10 points.
– The maximum score a group can have is 200 points.

Artist Cooperation Competition (Round 3)
About the Round:
– The theme is that the groups would be collaborating with artists by covering the one of the artist’s song.
– The hidden group unlocked by fans, CRYXTAL, is revealed. They would be able to participate in the competition starting from that point but not against the other groups.
– There is 2 prizes for the top 2 groups of this round. The top 2 groups would be able to have a beanfun! meet & greet event with their fans. The group that ends up as the overall winner would be able to be an ambassador for a wireless Bluetooth headset and receive millions of advertising exposures.

Scoring:
– There are 80 live judges this round: 30 judges that are beanfun! users and 50 judges that are guys who are fans of idol culture.
– Each judge can cast a maximum of 5 points. The maximum live score a group can have is 400 points.
– The maximum online score a group can have is 400 points.
– The maximum total score a group can have is 800 points.

New Look (Round 4)
About the Round:
– The theme is that the groups will “time travel” three years into the future and present a new side (concept) of theirs.
– The winning group of the round would be able to become a brand ambassador for a new dessert brand in Taiwan’s FamilyMart stores. The dessert brand is called minimore.

Scoring:
– There are 20 live judges this round: 10 judges that are boy group idols and 10 judges that are dance teachers.
– Each judge can cast a maximum of 5 points. The maximum live score a group can have is 100 points.

Team Union (Round 5)
About the Round:
– The theme is that each group would form an alliance with another group.
– Within each alliance, members are divided into two performance groups: Stage Charisma group (Consists of 7 members) and the Vocal Strength group (Consists of 5 members).
– The winning team will receive a billboard worth 1 million NT$ at the Central Park metro station in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Scoring:
– There are 20 live judges this round that are marketing and public relations professionals. They were chosen in case they want to increase the budget to have both groups collaborate together.
– Each judge can cast a maximum of 5 points. The maximum live score a group can have is 100 points. The maximum live score an alliance can have is 200 points.

Same Beat Competition (Round 6)
About the Round:
– The theme is that the 2 groups that were in the same alliance during round 5 will use the same rhythm and the same beat to create their own song.
– The three beats will represent the themes of past, present, and future, respectively. Each alliance will be assigned a different theme.
– The winning group will appear on the cover of Mirror Media Magazine Issue 367 and have an exclusive interview.

Scoring:
– There are 20 live judges this round that are professional DJs.
– Each judge can cast a maximum of 5 points. The maximum live score a group can have is 100 points.
– The winning team from each group will receive an additional 10 points on their live score.

The Ace of the Future (Round 7)
About the Round:
– The theme is that each group will chose one member as their ACE. The ACE will be able to perform in both stages.
– There are two stages: Vocal and Unlimited Style.
– The Vocal stage will comprise of 1-3 people showing their vocal abilities.
– In the Unlimited Style stage, the company can choose the amount of performers and the performance style they want to showcase.
– Only the ACE of the group can perform repeatedly.
– The winning group will be able to become a Kung Fu Tea brand ambassador around the world and serve as a one-day manager at the Ximending branch.

Scoring:
– There are 20 live judges this round that are music industry professionals.
– Each judge can cast a maximum of 5 points. The maximum live score a group can have is 100 points.

Brand Competition (Round 8)
About the Round:
– The theme is that each group would compete in a brand competition. This means that every single group would collaborate with a brand.
– The goal of this round is to see the balance between business and artistic work.
– The winning group will be able to become an ambassador of Guanghetang Herbal Health Technology’s REDDATES’ jelly bars. Also, the group would have their image featured on product packaging. They will also receive 1 million NT$ worth of promotion.

Scoring:
– There are 5 judges this round that are mentors. The mentors are Senda Aisa, Sato Mai (born 1979), Vivian Hsu, Prince Chiu, and Ou Di.
– There is two stages.
– Stage 1: After watching the performance of a group, the judges will give that same group 1-10 points. The maximum amount of points a group can have in this stage is 50 points.
– Stage 2: After all 6 groups have performed, the judges will give each group 1-10 points. The maximum amount of points a group can have in this stage is 50 points.
– The maximum live score a group can have for both stages’ points combined is 100 points.

The Future is Now (Round 9)
About the Round:
– The theme of this round is to show the audience how much each group has grown after 3 months of performing on the show by letting the groups perform the side of themselves they love best.
– There are two rewards for the winning group.
– The first reward for the winning group is receiving exposure in videos at mobile power bank rental stations nationwide.
– The second reward for the winning group is receiving one multi-functional electric vehicle.

– There are 5 judges this round that are mentors. The mentors are Yoga Lin, Ikuan, Vivian Hsu, Prince Chiu, and Ou Di.
– There is two stages.
