G-Dragon returned to Vietnam after 13 years and despite a brief stage intrusion, he delivered a performance fans will never forget.
On June 21 (local time), G-DRAGON headlined the K-STAR SPARK IN VIETNAM 2025 concert at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, joining a star-studded lineup that drew over 40,000 fans.
K-STAR SPARK is a global K-pop showcase known for its ever-changing concepts and bold production. G-Dragon previously appeared at its Bangkok debut in February and continued the tour with this electrifying stop in Vietnam.
The concert marked G-Dragon’s first visit to Vietnam since 2012. His return sparked nationwide excitement: fans organized a car parade featuring vehicles wrapped with his images and welcoming slogans, while local media extensively covered his arrival.
G-Dragon greeted fans in style, wearing a red sleeveless top and a yellow cardigan—Vietnam’s national flag colors—at the airport. On stage, he braved humid weather and summer rain, performing passionately despite the downpour.
He performed a mix of new and legendary tracks including “POWER,” “HOME SWEET HOME” (feat. TAEYANG & DAESUNG), “TOO BAD” (feat. Anderson .Paak), “CRAYON,” and “Crooked.” His energy lit up the rainy stage, earning loud cheers and a mass sing-along from the crowd.
During the concert, an unexpected moment occurred when a fan stormed the stage. Fortunately, one of the backup dancers quickly stepped in to block the fan, preventing any disruption. Security soon removed the individual, allowing the show to continue safely.
One of the night’s most iconic moments was captured backstage: a cinematic image of G-Dragon dancing in the rain, shared by his team’s secondary Instagram account. The image quickly went viral across social media, with fans dubbing it the “Dragon in the Rain” moment. The phrase “G-Dragon” and “My Dinh rain” trended in Vietnam shortly after.
G-Dragon’s Übermensch world tour continues next in Sydney (July 2-3) and Melbourne (July 6-7), followed by shows in Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and three U.S. cities—Newark, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles—as well as Paris.
