MAXIM is a magazine brand known for featuring beautiful women on its pages. While the brand began in the United Kingdom, it has expanded to over 20 other countries, including Korea.
One unique aspect of the magazine is that it will give non-celebrities a chance to appear on a cover by competing in a contest, often bringing gorgeous model-level women to light.
In 2021, MAXIM Korea introduced a competition for plus-size women, then called natural size. A host of beautiful women outside straight sizing entered the contest, but a model named Ssun Biki ultimately won the title.
She was featured on the cover of the 2021 edition of MAXIM.
Since then, she has continued work as a model and shares gorgeous photos of herself on Instagram, where she has over 669,000 followers.
Based on her social media activity, she also helped create a brand of jeans meant for people with similar body types! The brand, Pelpit Jeans, features Ssun Biki heavily in advertisements.
In addition to modeling, Ssun Biki also streams on AfreecaTV and posted lifestyle and cosplay content on YouTube, however she hasn’t been active on YouTube for over a year.
In October 2022, during Seoul Fashion Week, it seemed like she achieved another major goal — walking in a fashion show. Ssun Biki walked during the Big Park fashion event and looked stunning.
She also was a part of Netflix’s series The Influencer, but she was eliminated in the first episode.
It’s great to see Ssun Biki has been able to continue her career and enjoy life after her historic cover win!
