It focused on the members’ pasts.
The girl group QWER has sparked mixed reactions with their debut M Countdown performance.

The group has seen their fair share of controversies, from views on topics to their pasts, especially with some of the members being dubbed as “Sexy” content creators.

Despite having debuted in 2023, it wasn’t until June 19 that the group had their first music show performance on M Countdown with their track “COMEBACK.”
When the performance was shared on social media, it sparked mixed reactions with some explaining that they couldn’t get away from the members’ pasts but others saying that it’s only Nate Pann where they get hate, sharing that most content sees the general audience praising the group.

“Why does it still feel like a female cam streamer vibe even though it’s broadcast on Mnet? Getting rid of that prejudice is really hard.”
“I don’t care about them since I don’t like streaming culture anyway, but I find it funny how people think idols they like (who appear on music shows) are any different. Everyone’s desperate for exposure and sexual appeal—be it Waterbomb or upper body reveals—and you’re the ones consuming it all, lol. I’m not saying it’s bad, but it’s weird how people act like this one is dirty and that one is pure. Same difference.”
“What’s more surprising is people asking why others dislike QWER. Do you think idol fans would really like girls who strip and shake it just for money? It’s wild that this even needs to be explained.”
“You can pretend they’re shady and underground only in your echo chamber, but in reality, they’re the people’s pick.”

“Honestly, it’s only on Nate Pann where QWER gets hate. I’d say about 90% of the general public supports them. If they go on talk shows like You Quiz or Radio Star and open up, all the forced hate and misunderstandings would probably disappear.”
“Their visuals are insane lol. All four of them have that look that especially appeals to guys.”
