On June 19, BTS’s J-Hope appeared on the YouTube program “Sana’s Fridge Interview” hosted by TWICE’s Sana, delivering laughs, charm, and unexpectedly honest answers. While promoting his new song, J-Hope lightheartedly admitted, “I’m here to promote my new track,” which instantly won over the studio.
But it was the ideal type question that truly grabbed attention.
When Sana asked about his type, J-Hope replied, “It’s the first time in 10 years I’ve been asked this!” He continued, “I’m drawn to people who have a different perspective from mine.” Giving a quirky example, he said, “If I ask what’s in a pear juice, I’d obviously think ‘pear,’ but when someone answers in a totally unexpected way, that difference in thought excites me.”
As for looks, J-Hope admitted he prefers what he calls “salamander-type” visuals soft, ambiguous, and unique. When Sana guessed he might mean something like an axolotl, he nodded in agreement.
“Rather than someone with sharply defined features, I like faces that are soft and tofu-like,” he added, revealing his fondness for gentle and distinct appearances.
Meanwhile, all seven BTS members have now completed their military service. RM and V were discharged on June 10, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11. Suga will be officially discharged on June 21. Jin and J-Hope were the first to return in 2023.
With the entire group back, anticipation is building for a full BTS comeback in the second half of 2025.
