BTSโ€™s V Surprises Haha & Kim Jong Kook With Unexpected Shout-Out

On June 19, the latest episode of YouTube channel Gym Jong Kook featured Haha, his son Dream, and bodybuilder Ma Sun-ho.

While the episode centered around Haha promoting his new song โ€œSunny Day,โ€ the biggest surprise came from an unexpected voice cameo.

As Kim Jong Kook brought up Hahaโ€™s album release and jokingly asked, โ€œCan someone congratulate him?โ€ a familiar voice suddenly chimed in, โ€œCongrats on the album, Haha hyung,โ€ said none other than BTSโ€™s V, giving a thumbs-up gesture though he didnโ€™t appear on screen. His brief audio message alone caused a stir in the studio.

Haha, visibly stunned, couldnโ€™t hold back his laughter and subtly hinted at Vโ€™s identity by flashing a V-sign to the camera. He then shared, โ€œHeโ€™s the one who gave a shout-out to my song on Twitter.โ€

Indeed, back in 2021, V had recommended Hahaโ€™s song โ€œStory of a Short Kidโ€ on BTSโ€™s official Twitter, describing it as a track that โ€œgave me great comfort when I was little.โ€

Their connection goes even further back to 2015 during an appearance on Mnetโ€™s Yaman TV, where Haha was awestruck by Vโ€™s looks and repeatedly complimented him. In his 2018 song โ€œDang Diggi Bang,โ€ Haha even included the line โ€œFeeling BTS like V,โ€ expressing his admiration.

This particular episode was reportedly filmed while V is still serving in the military, making the surprise cameo even more meaningful. Though it wasnโ€™t a full appearance, fans are already hoping for a proper guest feature once V completes his service.
