Recently, former idol Taeil his two acquaintances admitted guilt to the charges of aggravated rape, with full details being revealed by the prosecution.
The public was first made aware of a case on August 28, the day it was announced that Taeil would no longer be a member of NCT. Subsequent details revealed that Taeil was facing charges of aggravated rape that had been filed earlier that summer.

During the trial on June 18, details of the assault were revealed, including specifics about the victim.
Also revealed was the timing of the incident: Prosecution stated that Taeil and the other defendants, whom they did not know prior, were at a bar in Itaewon on June 13, 2:33 am. The group drank together, then the defendants forced the victim into a taxi to one of the defendants’ residences in the Bangbae district of Seoul. There, between the time of 4:00 am and 4:30 am, the defendants collectively raped the unconscious and drunk victim.
After these details were made public, netizens made a chilling discovery.
On June 14, just a day after the gang rape occurred, Taeil went live on Instagram for his birthday, where he greeted fans. The former idol played piano, smiled and laughed, while discussing his future plans.
Netizens that made the connection have expressed rage over the idol’s actions, now knowing he committed a crime hours before.
