On June 18, the first trial for ex-NCT‘s Taeil occurred after being rescheduled earlier this year.
During the trial, Taeil and his two acquaintances admitted guilt to the charges of aggravated rape, with full details being revealed by the prosecution. The prosecution has demanded that each perpetrator be sentenced to seven years in jail.

Surprisingly, Taeil’s activities following his removal from NCT and SM Entertainment were also discussed during the trial.
Taeil was kicked out of NCT on August 28 when the news was first announced. This came after he was initially summoned for questioning. After which, he continued attending scheduled events with the group and even held a live stream for his birthday.
His contract with SM Entertainment was terminated shortly after, leaving him jobless. According to Taeil, he began working part-time jobs after getting kicked out of the agency.
